It has been a little over a week since Forza Horizon 2 hit the tracks and already, the developers are discussing their future plans. The highlights are: new cars on a monthly bases and no love in that regard for the Xbox 360 users.
The official forums of Forza Motorsport have a post from the developer where they have detailed how the Forza Horizon 2 DLC, Mobil 1 Car Pack was released to Xbox One earlier, only to continue and confirm that neither this nor any of the future expansion packs would be released to the good old console of Microsoft.
We are currently planning to release DLC only for the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2. Also, Forza Rewards benefits are only available in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2. This means that Xbox 360 players will not receive Forza Rewards credits or cars.
In addition, progress in the 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 does not count towards your Forza Rewards Tier Level score. Only progress in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 will count towards your overall Forza Score (and Tier Level) in Forza Rewards.
I honestly felt like the developers were mocking the Xbox 360 owners by naming one thing upon another that was only being kept for the Xbox One users.
There are definitely going to be a lot of Xbox 360 owners who bought the game thinking they were going to get all the additional content that the developers have in plans.
After all, Xbox 360 is still the most widely used Microsoft console!
Forza Horizon 2 is now available for purchase on Xbox one as well as Xbox 360; it was released in North America on September 30, in Europe on October 3 and in Australia on October 3.
