The official artbook of Dragon Age: Inquisition is scheduled to be released alongside the game in November but in Russia, the book has broken its street date and made its way into the hands of fans.
Those who received their copies quickly went on to upload images from the book online and in doing so have leaked details that BioWare has yet to mention. The developer has also shut down all related threads on their forums to keep things quiet.
One of the information strings is about Morrigan, who in Dragon Age: Origins had to work with the player in order to defeat the archdemon. The ritual involved either Alistair or Loghain having a child with her.
From the artbook it’s revealed that if you went for option two, the soul of the dying archdemon passes on to the child who then appears in Inquisition. Here’s what the artbook says specifically about Morrigan and her child:
The Witch of the Wilds, Morrigan, is a familiar face amongst the multitude of new characters in Dragon Age Inquisition. The wise and enigmatic, she was initially portrayed in various distinctive outfits, tailored for different climate conditions; however, eventually, we settled on the one which favored her traditional/canon style. Her son (on the right) is wearing a luxurious Orlesian finery, closely resembling his mother’s style (his mother in style?).
BioWare has removed all images from their forums, but this is the Internet after all and they will be soon back up on the web.
Dragon Age: Inquisition releases in mid-November for all major platforms.
