Assassin’s Creed Identity Released in Australia, Coming to West in 2015

Did I hear you say something about Ubisoft making too many Assassin’s Creed games? Please don’t because it looks like it only pushes them to churn out another game. Albeit mobile based, Assassin’s Creed Identity has been released in some parts of the world for iPad.

The game is going to be the series’ first action RPG for mobile platforms, and as you can see in the video above, it lets you create an assassin of your choice and take it out to do what he does best in Italy. The game has been developed by Blue Byte, a Ubisoft studio.

Cyril Voiron who is the Head of Mobile developments at Blue Byte, explained their decision of releasing the game only in a selected territory instead of a worldwide release. He also discussed how they planned to turn it into a complete AC experience in the future:

“This soft launch is an important step in the development process for Assassin’s Creed Identity. We’re looking forward to receiving feedback on the game from players in Australia and New Zealand, and think that by leveraging Unity engine, along with assets from previous Assassin’s Creed console titles, Assassin’s Creed Identity will deliver an authentic Assassin’s Creed experience on mobile devices.”

That being said, Assassin’s Creed Identity is scheduled to be released in the rest of the world sometime in 2015 – depending on how quick the feedback is and how quick the developers are to work on it.
