Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies Open Beta Starts September 23

In case you forgot, Valve and Nexon are still teaming up to bring Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies to Steam as a free-to-play title based on the highly popular shooter series.

Better yet, you’ll be able to dive into the game really soon, as an open Beta was announced for September 23, 2014.

In essence, Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is a completely souped-up version of the game, like having it turned out by the modding community. There will be over 20 different game modes that may or may not feature some undead and other nasty creatures.

Gameplay will be possible either through events or against other players. Modes include boss fights, Zombie Hero, Shelter Mode, Beast Mode, Bazooka Mode and even Football.

Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies will hold 60 zombie maps to keep you busy. Moreover, it will have a wide array of weapons, with some rather exotic choices full of spikes and other frills.

Both terrorists and counter-terrorists can be chosen and when you get mauled by the undead, you’ll also be able to play as a zombie. Additionally, the game has some female characters, though the screenshots reveal some rather tacky fishnet boob vessels.

There will also be a crafting system involved in Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies, which will be used to make new weapons, skins and so on. Finally, a family system will allow you to share these items with members from the same family.

Perhaps, strangest of all is that Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies will have Bomb Defuse and Hostage Rescue from the original Counter-Strike. It even has all the maps, including de_dust, which basically gives away the most important parts of the game for free.

You can start getting pumped or angry for Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies by visiting the Steam page that has info and screenshots of this bizarre venture.
