New Total War Game Teased For EGX 2014

Creative Assembly is expected to announce the next entry in the Total War franchise during EGX 2014 later this month.

According to initial reports, the developer will announce the new game during its stage session which will take place on September 25 at 4 p.m. local time. Those attending the event will be provided with “exclusive insight into ongoing production” and of course the first look at the title.

Creative Assembly has also teased fans to be “prepared for the odd surprise too,” which at this point might or might not hold hype value.

Other than the above, there was no further information shared about the game. For all we know, the unannounced title is actually an expansion to Total War: Rome 2 but the fans are probably hoping for a next-gen installment that pulls the rug out of all of our feet.

Recently the developer had announced Total War: Rome 2 Emperor Edition which will be available on September 16 for both the PC and Mac. Existing owners of the base game will receive all content via automatic update on the day of launch for no cost.

EGX 2014 will take place from September 25 to 28 at Earl’s Court, London.
