GTA V PC Release Date Announcement Could be Around the Corner

By   /   Sep 9, 2014

It has recently come to attention that two game testers have been playing the PC version of GTA V on Steam this past weekend.

The information was revealed once SteamDB was updated with new information, which gave away the game being played this Saturday from 18:00 to 23:00. The relative graphs also revealed someone to be playing the game for a couple of hours every day following the weekend.

The news probably confirms Rockstar to be conducting some final checks before officially announcing a release date in the coming days. We already know that the PC version of GTA V is scheduled for release later this year but Rockstar has yet to announce a release date.

Previous rumors have indicated a mid-November release. If we’re really lucky, Rockstar will make the announcement this coming weekend and will probably do so with a new trailer that gives us a sneak preview of the updated textures and gameplay.

While a PC version of GTA V will indeed make a lot of players happy this year, the modding community in specific would be even more pleased if Rockstar was to announce modding support for the latest GTA installment. Its predecessor GTA IV had that support and over time we came to see all sorts of mods being pushed online. The best of which was the enhanced graphics pack which made the game almost life-like in terms of visual fidelity.
