NBA 2K15 Will Feature Motion Captured Cheerleaders, It’s About Experience

By   /   Sep 2, 2014

Nowadays, everyone wants to see realism in video games and developers are hard at work to bring as much realism in their titles as possible, and now NBA 2K15 has taken a step further in this regard as they have added the motion capture for the Cheerleaders in the upcoming basketball game.

On its official Facebook page, NBA 2K15 devs wrote following about the cheerleaders’ motion capture:

Entire dance routines were mocapped from professional NBA dance teams to be implemented in #NBA2K15. Just another authentic touch to the game this year.

In addition to adding cheerleaders in the game, the developers are also going to add Shaquille O’Neal and Ernie Johnson to the game’s presentation as they will be tasked to share their opinion on the ongoing game, during half time and post-match.

Last year’s entry NBA 2K14 left out mascots and cheerleaders altogether as the developers wanted to focus on gameplay and not the other stuff, but this time they are taking the game to the next level and trying to bring a realistic experience for the fans of basketball.

We will see how much realism Visual Concepts has managed to add into the game, when NBA 2K15 launches for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC on 7th of October.
