PS Vita to Get Themes and “Live From PlayStation” App Later This Year

Sony during SCEJA press conference has revealed that the upcoming 3.30 update for PlayStation Vita will bring themes to the handheld.

These themes will work just like they do with PlayStation 3 as you will be able to change the interface of your PS Vita with your favorite games.

The themes showcased for the platform at the event belonged to Freedom Wars, Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines, Phantasy Star Nova and Danganronpa: Another Episode.

In addition to revealing new themes feature for the update 3.30, Sony also stated that the “Live from PlayStation” app that is becoming really popular on PlayStation 4 will now be released on PS Vita.

This app will allow you to watch live streams of all the PS4 players that are streaming at that moment, on your handheld platform. This app will help a lot of players who are on the move most of the time and cannot manage to watch the streams on their PlayStation 4.

It seems that Sony is not forgetting about either PS3 or PS Vita after the launch of PS4 as there are number of announcements that have been made during SCEJA that are including all three platforms.

So far, there is no release date for 3.30 update, but Live From PlayStation app is scheduled to launch later this year on PS Vita.
