Remake of the 2010 RPG by Monolith is coming to Nintendo’s new portable device.
Nintendo announced new 3DS and 3DS XL models in today’s Nintendo Direct Feed which have a more powerful CPU for processing. President of the company Satoru Iwata also said that the Xenoblade Chronicles will only be playable on the new models.
These new models contain upgraded hardware and can handle to run the remake. Players who own old models will have to pick up the new 3DS in order to play this title as revealed by the company President during the feed.
This remake is what Nintendo wanted to do before but was not possible due to some hardware limitations of the previous 3DS models.

The new 3DS and 3DS XL models on the other hand will launch on October 11 in Japan for the price of 16,000 yen for the standard 3DS and 18,800 yen for the XL version.
