State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition has been announced by Microsoft for a release on the Xbox One in Spring 2015.
The open-world zombie survival title was released on the Xbox 360 last year in June and since then has enjoyed a warm reception, even on the other platforms. It makes sense for the company to decide to bring it over to the next-gen console and enjoy the added benefits.
The State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition on the Xbox One will feature a resolution of 1080p and include all previously released add-ons – Breakdown and Lifeline. It will also include some completely new content, which for now is being kept under wraps.
Microsoft however has promised to release information about the new content when we reach closer to the game’s release next year.
Earlier this year, developer Undead Labs confirmed the signing of a multi-year extension deal with Microsoft. State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition is probably a product of that signing. This also means that there’s going to be even more content to come post-release of the game next year.
State of Decay was launched on PC in September last year and by December it managed to cross one million units sold in total across all platforms.
