Playstation Network will undergo a maintenance today and will be down from 9:40 AM to 4:50 PM Pacific Time (12:40 PM to 7:50 PM Eastern Time).
According to a post on the Playstation forum, the maintenance that was previously scheduled Monday August 25th but was postponed due a DDoS (Distributed Denial Of Service) Attack earlier this week on PSN by the notorious Lizard Squad.
On the bright side, the post Further added that the player who signed in to their PSN accounts anytime since August 23, will be able to play games online and use partner apps such as Hulu and Netflix during this period.
But still, things like Playstation Home, Account Management along with Playstation Store will not be accessible to anyone during the maintenance period which is expected to last around 7 hours during which Sony Will perform a series of back-end improvements to the PlayStation Network.
The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during this time, and users may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access these services.
Playstation Network went down on August 24 after the DDoS attack and has since seen a lot of downtime which is kind of frustrating being a gamer. Hopefully, Sony will make efforts to secure their Network from any future hackings and issues.
