4J Studios has revealed that they are currently testing a small update for the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft which will give players the option of transferring their Xbox 360 save files to the Xbox One version, ahead of its release.
“A small #MinecraftXBLA update is in test. This adds the ability to transfer Xbox 360 saves to #MinecraftXBox1 ahead of its release.” Tweeted 4J Studios.
Additionally the developer continues prodding away at Minecraft: Xbox One Edition to squash out the “last few bugs” in the game.
Conveying to their followers about the game’s update, the developer Tweeted earlier this morning that they are “down to the last few bugs with Minecraft: Xbox One Edition” and that the game will soon be in a position to be handed over to Microsoft for testing purposes.
4J Studios believes that this should be done by the end of this week, give or take a couple of days.
Minecraft: Xbox One Edition was first announced at E3 2013 and was originally scheduled to release this month. However, with the current stature of things, the Microsoft version of Minecraft should arrive early next month. The PlayStation 4 version on the other hand has already been handed over to Sony.
