The Halo Channel is going to launch later this year and it looks like 343 Industries already has a plan to make the fans watch this new channel by giving them free content for the upcoming titles Halo 5 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
This news was confirmed by executive producer at 343 Industries Kiki Wolfkill to Polygon, where she said that the company is looking to increase the interactivity with the fans through this new channel which will broadcast Halo: Nightfall and other yet be announced TV shows.
Wolfkill revealed how the process of interactivity will work and how will you win new content for the games.
When you get to the end of a show it will show you all the things you’ve unlocked and experienced. What we really want to do is create this really seamless ecosystem that allows you to experience different things together and be rewarded for that.
The shows that have been confirmed to include interactivity so far are Halo: Nightfall and Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn as Wolfkill emphasizes that all of the focus of Halo channel will be on direct interactivity with the fans.
In the end, Wolfkill said that the ultimate goal of this new channel will be:
to create something that felt like a premium network, something that felt like HBO from a production value quality and perspective, but also bring in different types of programming and change what the idea of programming could mean.
Halo fans must be really glad about the new Halo channel as it will always be showing content that is related to Halo series (past and future) and by just watching it, you will win free stuff.
The Halo Channel will be available to download on 11th of November for Xbox One, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1.
