The long awaited sequel to 1988’s Wasteland finally has a release date.
Brian Fargo announced the game’s release date as September 19 via his twitter account. He stated:

Fans successfully funded the game and backed the developer with $3 million for the title. Wasteland 2 has been playable through Steam Early Access for quite some time and the game was supposed to release this month but has been pushed back to Sept 19th.
Considered as a predecessor and inspiration behind the famous Fallout series, Wasteland 2 is being developed by InXile Entertainment.
Fargo has previously worked on the original Fallout before moving on to found his own studio.
