Visceral Games’ upcoming title Battlefield Hardline will receive an open beta in January of next year, however, Xbox 360 and PS3 owners might not be a part of it.
This information was revealed by a representative of the studio, while he gave a statement to Symthic.
Yes. There will be an open beta in January, a month before the game launches. It’s not sure yet if [Visceral] will do the beta on older generation systems like the PS3 and Xbox 360, but they’ll definitely be on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
As you can see above that the rep also outed the new release date of the game which will now be coming in February 2015.
Previously, Battlefield: Hardline was supposed to release in October of this year, but EA and Visceral needed more time to polish the game and bring the best possible experience to the players, which is why they opted to delay the game to 2015.
Previous beta of the game began during E3 and received pretty good response from the fans, but this new beta is going to start just before the full release of the title, and will give us a clear idea of what to expect from the final product.
Battlefield: Hardline is taking a different route compared to previous titles in the franchise as it is going to pit robbers against cops in thrilling matches.
We will see how much Visceral Games succeeds in this attempt, when the game launches for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC next February.
