World of Warcraft Honors Robin Williams by Adding Him as an NPC in the Game
Beloved celebrity Robin Williams passed away due to an apparent suicide, he was found dead in his house in California which left the fans to this beloved comedian heartbroken.
In addition of being an actor and comedian, Williams was a gamer as well. He even named his daughter “Zelda” after the famous Legend Of Zelda series and was also known to have played a variety of games including the massively multiplayer online game World Of Warcraft developed by Blizzard Entertainment.
After the saddening news of Robin Williams passing, one of the World of Warcraft community member started a petition on Change.org asking the developer to include Williams into the game as an NPC (non-playable character) . The petition quickly got 10,975 signatures.
Fans wanted to make sure that the petition does not go unnoticed by Blizzard so one of fans asked WoW developers on Twitter if they had taken notice of the petition, to which game designer Chadd Nervig answered that they did and that they were “taking care of it.”
Robin Williams life, legacy and accomplishments are unmatched and he will forever live on in our memories, our condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Robin Williams (1951-2014).
