A new trailer released for Mortal Kombat X confirms the return of Kano.
In the latest installment, the bloodthirsty mercenary is portrayed older but there is nothing old about his new cybernetic upgrades. Similar to the rest of the characters in Mortal Kombat X, Kano too will have three different fighting styles.
Players can choose from the three variations during the selection screen: Cutthroat, Cybernetic, and Commando.
In the Cutthroat variation, Kano can power up his attacks by pounding on his cybernetic heart. Additionally his knife-fighting skills are also enhanced, enabling him to pull off a number of unique combos.
In the Cybernetic variation, Kano brings a deadly eye laser and several grenade attacks. These enable him to strike from afar and also defend against aerial attacks.
Finally, in the Commando variation Kano has enhanced grappling skills which allow him to counter both high and low attacks.
At EVO 2014 last month, the developer revealed that “the chances are pretty high” to include guest characters in the game, much like what they did with Mortal Kombat 9. With the last title, NetherRealm Studios added Kratos as an exclusive fighter for the PS3 version, and later released Freddie Kruger as a surprise DLC character.
Mortal Kombat X is scheduled for release sometime next year for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
