Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition Listed Online for PS4 and Xbox One

A listing for Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition has appeared on Amazon today for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

According to the listing, the next-gen version of Sleeping Dogs will release on October 14 and include all of the game’s previously released DLC packs. In addition to that there’s a pre-order bonuse included as well that will net owners a 28-page art book.

Amazon has pegged the game for the full cost of $59.99.

This is the second time that we’re seeing a listing of Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition. In June, Shopto posted the listing but it pegged the game for a November release.

The advent of the new consoles has started a new trend where publishers are content with releasing HD or overhauled versions of last-gen titles on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While this does add more games to the library of the new consoles, it’s also disappointing news for players who already have gone through the games.

I know many would rather play a sequel to this game, which featured impressive melee combat mechanics and a captivating experience.

In December last year, United Front Games teased an image on their official Twitter page which looked to be a blurry shot of Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars. The sequel has been confirmed to take place in the same Sleeping Dogs universe but we’ve yet to hear more about it. We don’t even know what platforms it will be headed to.
