Microsoft has decided to permanently drop the price of some of its first party titles by a whole $10.
Previously priced at $60, Microsoft revealed four titles today which will be now available for $49.99 in the US and Canada, both at retail and on the Xbox Games Store.
The titles in question are Dead Rising 3 from Capcom, Forza Motorsport 5 from Turn 10 Studios, Ryse: Son of Rome from Crytek, and Kinect Sports Rivals from Rare.
Microsoft did not make it clear as to whether they intend to drop the prices on more of their first party titles, or are these four games just it.
It’s worth noting that while Microsoft’s decision is commendable, and it certainly has our attention, the above mentioned games can be purchased for far more cheaper prices at various outlets, including Amazon and Target.
Dead Rising 3 is already releasing for the PC next month and I bet we’ll be able to get it for a good price during Steam’s Winter sale. Not to mention with Black Friday coming up, these titles can be purchased for far lesser than the $49.99 price tag.
