Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition is said to be running at full 1080p resolution on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
The news comes from one website called Mercury News.
Previously, the developers admitted that they were having issues with trying to raise the resolution of the game on the Xbox One. The game was restricted to a mere 900p while the PlayStation 4 version achieved glorious 1080p with ease.
According to a previous Blizzard statement, the 900p restriction was so that the game was able to give out 60 stable fps.
In contrast, PlayStation 4 version managed the same feat at 1080p. Blizzard then promised that they’ll continue to work on the Xbox One version and hopefully will raise the resolution by its release day.
With Gamescom 2014 happening soon, it’s possible that Blizzard takes the stage to make the announcement. Until then we’ll file this news in the rumors section.
In more rumors related to Diablo III, an image with an unknown source was leaked online last night that suggests the next Diablo III expansion reveal to happen at BlizzCon 2014 later this year. It’s called “Diablo III: Sword of Wisdom” and we’ll see if Blizzard makes this announcement as well at Gamescom.
Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition is scheduled for release later this month on August 19 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
