Microsoft’s Flagship title becomes the most successful Xbox one game to date.
For Microsoft, a lot was depending on the success of Titanfall so that their struggling console can find some solid ground, and the game didn’t disappoint. Sales of Titanfall have reached 2 million on Xbox one and 3 million combined (including PC and Xbox 360).
Titanfall released on march 11, 2014 and in its first week sold 902,010 copies of the game on Xbox One and also helped double the sales of the console for that week to 153,665. For Xbox 360 and PC it sold 866,541 and 294,828 respectively.
The online multiplayer shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, got released exclusively on Microsoft platforms and has been a huge success.
Talks and rumors about a sequel has been around since before the game released, but nothing has been officially announced other than the Respawn Entertainment’s co-founder Vince Zampella showing interest in expanding the Titanfall universe.
A recent Job Advertisement on the career page of Respawn’s own website, indicates that the sequel to this best seller might be in the works.
