Another listing has appeared online for a PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which makes rumors of a Windows release even stronger.
The latest listing was spotted on Amazon UK, which is known to leak information before a game’s official announcement. In the past it listed a PC version of Tekken 7, and before that Mortal Kombat X; both of which were confirmed later on by the respective developers.
That said, it’s also true that online retailers sometimes add placeholders in anticipation of a possible release. Still, this is the second time that a listing has appeared for a PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Before this was Amazon Spain, which posted its listing more than a week back.
Around the same time, the Steam Database was revealed to contain entries for Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3. A single rumor is simply a rumor to be taken with a good amount of salt. Add up multiple sources and it mounts to something bigger.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection was announced by Microsoft at E3 this year. The only catch about this story is that if it’s true, then this will be the first time that Halo 3 and Halo 4 grace the PC platform. That’s going to be a momentous occasion.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be released on November 11 for Xbox One. Here’s hoping that Microsoft announces a PC version at Gamescom later this month.
