Yes you heard that right, the game that has been labeled as an addiction as well as the most annoying thing to spend time with is back. Flappy Bird is live again and this time it also has a player vs. player mode.
The Vietnamese developer Dong Nguyen had hinted towards the return of the game back in March but said that it won’t be re-released anytime soon. However, it was reported later on that Nguyen had confirmed the re-release of the game along with a multiplayer mode in August.
Standing true to that promise, the developer has put the game up for downloads. However, currently it is only available on the Amazon App Store for Android. The game is also compatible with Amazon’s Fire TV along with the Fire TV remote and the dedicated controller.
However, it has not been put up on Apple’s App Store or Google Play so far.
So what else has changed with the game, you might ask. Well, for one there will be ghosts. Yes, as if the game wasn’t hard enough already, we now have ghosts blocking our way – probably along with other new obstacles. Here’s what the official description of the game looks like:
“Flappy Birds now are on Amazon Fire TV with incredible new features: Person vs Person mode, more obstacles, more fun and still very hard. Enjoy playing the game at home (not breaking your TV) with your family and friends.”
Flappy Bird was taken down some months ago by the developer himself owing to emotional distress of the developer and its addictive nature.
