Ubisoft Montpellier’s Michel Ancel in a new interview to Eurogamer has confirmed that the sequel Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development and developer will share more about it in the near future.
It’s still far too early to give many details about this new title, but what we can say is that while Michel and the team at Ubisoft Montpellier are working with the core tenets of BG&E, they’re developing something that aspires to push past the boundaries of a proverbial sequel and leverages next-gen technologies to deliver a truly surprising, innovative and exceptional game.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 was officially revealed to be in development in 2008 and even after six years of its announcement, there isn’t much information available on the game, which is why a lot of people thought that Ubisoft may have canned the project.
However, after this recent interview the hopes have been revived and we hope that Ubisoft will share more details about Beyond Good & Evil 2 with the fans sooner rather than later.
This is great news for the fans that have been eagerly waiting for the game’s sequel for more than ten years, but the real question is “Will the final product be worth the wait?”
