Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4 PC Version Being Made by Ubisoft Kiev?

Alright, this might not sit well with some of the fans. There is word that Ubisoft’s Ukraine studio, Ubisoft Kiev is currently at the helm of the development of the Assassin’s Creed Unity and Far Cry 4 PC version.

If you are new to either one of the series, you might say something like ‘what’s the harm in that?’ but if you have been through the past ports of the game that were developed by the said studio, you wouldn’t be so positive about it.

In the past, Ubisoft Kiev studio has looked over the multiple PC ports e.g. Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed 4, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. However, neither one of them were free from performance issues.

It is pretty evident that the development studio needs more experience in making PC games but apparently, Ubisoft is giving them that at the cost of upcoming titles like the AC Unity and Far Cry 4 PC version.

This rumor sprung out from the official Facebook page of the studio where it was claimed that the devs at Ubisoft Kiev were working hard on both the titles. The same is also being iterated by the Wikipedia page of the development studio.

There is more to it, previously Far Cry 3 PC version was regarded as the primary platform of release but if the Kiev studio is making the game it could mean that it will be a port in from the console version, making Far Cry 4 PC version vulnerable to even more performance issues. Same goes for Assassin’s Creed Unity PC version.
