Destiny Beta on Xbox One and 360 Suffers From Launch Issues with Bungie Actively Providing Support

Following Playstation’s lead, Destiny Beta is now live on Xbox One and Xbox 360, but for some reason, things aren’t as smooth as they were expected to be!

One of the most commonly reported issue is ‘Corrupted Install’ which usually occurs after users kickstart the beta after downloading the 2% of it. However, users cannot be blamed for rushing it since the Installation Progress begins displaying ‘ready to start’ past the 2% download mark. Luckily, Bungie Support is up on Twitter and is actively looking into the launch issues. Furthermore, Destiny Beta FAQ has also been updated to address issues faced by Xbox One/Xbox 360 owners.

Speaking of the ‘Corrupted Install’ issue, Bungie Support has stated that a user’s install is in no way corrupted and they should wait until their download reaches 100% before starting it:

You may get the following message when downloading on Xbox One: The installed game is corrupted. You must delete the installed game and then reinstall it to play this game.

Your download is likely not corrupted, and happily downloading in the background. Please wait to launch Destiny until it is 100% downloaded. To monitor the progress of your Destiny Beta download, please navigate to the Games & Apps tile from the Xbox One home screen.

Another issue faced by the Xbox users is party stabilization error which can be resolved by turning off the console by unplugging it completely and re-plugging it again.

Lastly, players who are trying to play the beta on Xbox 360 using Xbox Live Gold Trials won’t be able to do so for some mysterious reasons. Once again, Bungie is aware of the issue and has issued out a statement saying that Xbox Live Gold Trials can be used on Xbox One, but to play on Xbox 360, a user must use a Gold Subscription.

Other than this, there are currently no issues at hand. Still, if you encounter any, you can always contact Bungie Help via their Twitter.
