No Fallout 4 on Gamescom, Bethesda to Show The Elder Scrolls Online and The Evil Within

Fallout 4 continues to be treated as a mere rumor and Bethesda Softworks continues to claim that no such game is in development.

Previous speculations of Fallout 4 being presented at Gamescom 2014 next month have been shutdown by Pete Hines of Bethesda. According to the official list of exhibitors, Bethesda was mentioned to show up with an “Action-Adventure-RPG.” It was natural for everyone to think it was Fallout 4.

Pete Hines however took to his Twitter account to clarify that they will only be there to showcase The Elder Scrolls Online and The Evil Within.

Rumors of Fallout 4 being in development have been surfacing since last year. In January 2013, one voice actor from Fallout 3, Erik Dellums, hinted that he would be returning to work on a new Fallout installment.

Following that were rumors that Fallout 4 is in fact an online MMO title, featuring a massive post-apocalyptic open world. In December of the same year, a report was published that said Fallout 4 is indeed in development and will be based in Massachusetts.

Bethesda though has denied all rumors so far.

It has been six years since the release of the last Fallout 3. If fans do not get to hear an announcement at Gamescom 2014 next month, is it possible for the developer to unveil the game at Tokyo Game Show in September?
