Final Fantasy Record Keeper Teaser Site Launched by Square Enix

It looks like Square Enix is planning another Final Fantasy title! There is a new teaser site that has a countdown timer for, probably, the official announcement of something called Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

Although it is clearly going to be a shot in the dark if we try and figure out what this is about; we can still try and list down what the website has, sit down with joined heads and ponder over it for the next day or two.

As far as the current state of the website is concerned, you can see flashing artworks of multiple characters from the Final Fantasy universe with none of them being nice enough to let us know what Final Fantasy Record Keeper is going to be about.

Then, if you look at the centre of the bottom of the website, you see a mysterious silhouette of a character that remains unknown so far. May be the lead protagonist of the upcoming game?

Another small detail is that if you check out the countdown timer closely, you will see that one part of it is always shown in a pixel format. Wonder what connection that could have. Moving on, there is always the original theme song playing in the background suggesting even more towards a new title.

However, the next thing isn’t going to sit well with some of you. The website was launched by Square Enix together with DeNA. The latter is the owner of Mobage, a mobile and social gaming service that operates in Japan.

So yes, they are teasing a new title alright but it doesn’t look anything more than a mobile release – for now.

Well, whatever Final Fantasy Record Keeper is about, we will find out from the official sources soon and rest assured you will be the first share it with.
