BioWare Will Discuss Development of The Next Mass Effect at Comic-Con

BioWare Edmonton and Montreal studios will be attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con to discuss the future and development processes for the Next Mass Effect game.

Thanks to a recently surfaced Comic-Con Schedule, it’s confirmed that BioWare will have its own panel under the banner of, ‘charting a Course: Developing the Next Mass Effect.’

Led by Lead Animator of the game, Carl Boulay, here’s a brief overview of what to expect from the panel:

Mass Effect developers from the Edmonton and Montreal studios discuss what it’s like to expand on a well-established and beloved video game franchise. Panelists Carl Boulay (lead animator), Fabrice Condominas (producer), Mike Gamble (producer), Noel Lukasewich (senior artist), and Jessica Merizan (community manager), share their experiences in shaping the next Mass Effect game with new possibilities while staying true to the critically acclaimed series. Moderated by

For those of you who will be attending the event in person, the panel will take place on Saturday, Jul. 26, at 02 PM in Room #25, ABC.

We are short on details regarding the next game, but we already know that Commander Shepherd’s story has been concluded with Mass Effect Trilogy and the upcoming game will neither be sequel nor a prequel, but an entirely new iteration. What are you expecting to see at the Comic-Con panel?

Aside from the Next Mass Effect, other confirmed games which will be demonstrated at the event include, Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Far Cry 4, Battlefield: Hardline, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo: Nightfall, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Furthermore, the event will also host a first-ever 3DS tournament for Super Smash Bros.

Comic-Con 2014 runs from Jul. 24 – 27 at San Diego Convention Center.
