Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Synopsis Leak is a Fake, Kojima Confirms

Imagine my astonishment when I grabbed a cup of hot cocoa and went through the latest gaming headlines, only to find out that a massive Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain leak has taken everyone by surprise.

However, before I could dive in to go through all the fuss, Senior Producer at Kojima Productions Kenichiro Imaizumi confirmed to Gamespot that the leak in discussion is a false one. Still, that didn’t prevent me from seeing what Internet has cooked.

Now, before you continue, know that I’ll try to keep it spoiler-free, but still, do so at your own risk!

Anyway, an online publication which goes by the name of Gentlemen Gaming posted a massive synopsis leak for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, claiming that it came from an anonymous source. Since the source was unverified, several publications urged reading the leak with a grain of salt.

The leak discussed return of some major characters from the franchise along with the transformation of Big Boss into an unforgiving antagonist.

Although the leak is deemed as false by the publisher, the 3,000 words are still an interesting read, should you choose to do so!

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is currently in development for Xbox One and Playstation 4. As for the release date, it is not confirmed by Konami yet. My fingers are crossed for a 2015 release window.
