Unturned, Made by Teenager is Among Top Played Steam Games

When you know how huge and mainstream the Steam community is, thinking about the top played games would only bring names like Dota 2, Skyrim and Counter Strike: GO to your mind.

That is true, but there is an unexpected entrant in the top 10 list. Its titled Unturned and the developer of the game is 16 years old. The game is built around the popular zombie apocalypse genre and is being called a DayZ-like game.

As far as the number of players is concerned it has 13,042 players right now and the peak number of players reached today was 21,502.

Unturned is a free to play game that is in its early access phase right now. If you are interested in finding out what it feels like, check out the trailer above.

It does look a lot like Minecraft with quite simpler graphics however the zombie fanatics have praised the game for being rewardingly tough and well thought.

Currently, the top played games on Steam (in descending order) are Dota 2, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Team Fortress 2, Football Manager 2014, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Garry’s Mod, Sid Meier’s Civilization V, PAYDAY 2, Counter-Strike and Unturned.
