The Last of Us Remastered Version Gets its First Screenshots and They are Impressive Enough

By   /   Jul 9, 2014

There has been a lot of talk and a lot less visuals about The Last of Us Remastered. However, the revamped version of one of the most accomplished games from 2013 is closing in on the release date. You certainly wouldn’t want to buy the game without seeing how it looks right? Well, here is your first look at it.

A couple of screenshots have surfaced on the internet recently. Although they weren’t released by Sony officially, the Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer has confirmed that they really are legitimate.

What actually happened was that someone at NeoGAF found the screenshots (below) on a Japanese website and posted them to a thread.

There was a confusion regarding their legitimacy and Meyer decided to put it to rest saying that he thinks ‘those screens were from the batch we sent for a print only feature in Japan. They may have been accidentally distributed. We’ll see what happened, but regardless enjoy!’

They are pretty gorgeous from the graphical point of view and I am sure that the fans of the game are in for a big treat.

According to information previously shared by Naughty Dog and Sony, this will be the full game including the three major DLC expansions Abandoned Territories, Left Behind and Reclaimed Territories. However, it is also feared that The Last of Us Remastered might not get the smaller DLC as the lead designer of he game wasn’t sure about them until May.

The Last of Us Remastered version is slated for a release to PlayStation 4 on July 29, 2014.
