Fortnite Gets New Gameplay Footage, Alpha Starting Later This Year

Epic Games, since revealing its co-op sandbox title Fortnite in 2011 has been pretty quiet about it, and some people were even questioning that if the game is still in development or not.

However, Epic has finally broken its silence on the game and has shared new details on Alpha registration and gameplay footage for the title.

The footage, which you can see above, shows multiple players combining their efforts to defend the fort from the hordes of enemies by collecting resources, crafting and of course shooting.

In addition to showing off this amazing gameplay clip of Fortnite, Epic has also given the players an opportunity to register themselves for the game’s upcoming Alpha, which will begin later this year.

However, the players who will not get selected to play this year’s Alpha will be granted the opportunity next year, as Epic notes that “many more” players will be able to get their hands on Fortnite next year.

Fortnite features 4 players co-op gameplay, and players will have to craft new traps, create fortifications and do everything in their right to defend themselves against the enemies.

With Alpha beginning later this year and game going into beta few months after that, you can expect that the game will launch in Q4 of 2015 or early 2016.
