New Trademark of Until Dawn Suggests Project Morpheus Support

It was good to hear that Until Dawn, the adventure horror game had not been cancelled. However, it has made me feel even better to know that the game might actually be coming to Project Morpheus.

There have been rumors all around and now we have another one in the bucket. Sony Computer Entertainment re-registered their trademark for Until Dawn couple of days ago and abandoned the last one.

What is interesting about this is that the class description of the trademark has been changed. It now reads ‘downloadable computer graphics; downloadable images in the field of adventure and horror entertainment.’

The way it looks now, the description could fit in perfectly with Project Morpheus!

What makes these speculations even more believable are the remarks of the head of Sony World Wide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida. He was recently asked about the rumors floating around about the game in a relation to Project Morpheus and PS4.

Although he didn’t confirm anything, he did say that it would be very interesting if the rumors about the game being moved to PS4 for Project Morpheus were true.

He had also said that ‘in terms of genre, that’s a really good fit. If you really want to make serious games for Morpheus, the game design would be really, really different.’

Until Dawn

The game was originally announced at Gamescom 2012 as a PS3 title under development at Supermassive Games. Could it be that Sony has an announcement waiting for us at this year’s Gamescom regarding Until Dawn?
