Asian PS Plus Members Don’t Have To Pre-Order Destiny For Beta

With just two weeks to go before the Destiny beta begins, the official PlayStation Asia blog has posted information relating to the registration process.

The registration for the beta will begin on July 7 and last until July 13. To be exact, the registrations will open on July 7 at 16:00 HK Time. Interested parties should then head to the Destiny Beta registration page and login with their SEN account to fill out the application form. Afterwards 5,000 randomly selected PS Plus members will receive an email with the game’s voucher code on July 16.

Players can then use this code when the beta officially begins on July 18 at 00:00 HK Time.

The Terms & Conditions specifically state that this is only open for “Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) members with a valid PlayStation®Plus subscription in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia or Taiwan during the beta registration period.”

In contrast, fans in the west need to pre-order Destiny in order to be eligible for the beta. The Asian PS Plus members though have no need to purchase the game.

The Destiny beta is said to last only 10 days. Even though this came up as a rumor, neither Activision nor Bungie have stepped up to deny the report.

Yesterday, a list of Destiny’s competitive multiplayer game modes surfaced on the web that mentions previously revealed modes, as well as new ones. .

Destiny is scheduled for release on the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on September 9.
