Did you like the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare T-740 Hovertank that Sledgehammer shared yesterday? Here’s something else you might like; a behind the scenes video that shows off the animation and art direction sequences.

Believe it or not, they are making it look more and more like a TV series or a movie than an animated game.

At the beginning of the video, animation director Christopher Stone explains how they are using a whole new motion capture technology that enables them to go as deep as the facial expressions and muscle movements on the face.

Then you see how Kevin Spacey has made sure that the role he is playing isn’t just a character but a person.

On the art direction side, Joe Salud the art director at Sledgehammer Games talks about the combination of military elements and relatability of the game in the futuristic world that they are building.

In his words, ‘the first thing that gamers are going to notice when they see our [their] facial performances, they are going to wonder it looks like it’s on TV and then they are going to realize oh my God that’s a game! That’s crazy!’
