League of Legends PBE Patch Adds New Mecha Skins, Model Overhaul, Items, Champion Changes
League of Legends’ next patch is up on PBE and as usual the unofficial patch notes follow. The update introduces some new Mecha themed skins, character texture changes, a possible new game mode as well as the return of updated Summoner’s Rift.
The Mecha skins added are for two champions, Malphite and Aatrox giving them a complete Michael Bay Transformer style look as well as a new Mecha ward skin which frankly looks like something out WildStar.
Headhunter Caitlyn also received major changes in terms of textures and a major model overhaul.
Also listed in the patch notes is Doom Bots of Doom, also known as a Nightmare Bots as a possible new game mode. So far the known Doom Bots of Doom include Blitzcrank, Annie, Akali, Zyra and Nocturne.
Some of the bots received many skill changes in the update such as:
- Doom Ezreal’s abilities have been fragmented into multiple energy waves.
- Doom Veigar calls down a ring of Dark Matter around himself periodically and his abilities fragment on minions
- Doom Annie can set alight nearby enemy towers and burn everything
Along with these, other champion and item changes are also incoming such as Ahri’s Orb of Deception getting buffed to cost less mana while being scaled up to 0.35 for each hit instead of the previous 0.325.
The full list of changes can be seen here. Keep in mind though these are unofficial so more changes can occur before the patch hits live servers.
