Space Hulk: Deathwing Coming to PS4 Next Year

French developers Streum On Studio announced today that Space Hulk: Deathwing, a first-person shooter based in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, will release next year for the PlayStation 4.

This is not the first time that we’ve heard about the game. Back in May, publisher Focus Home Interactive released some screenshots to get the hype train running. Unfortunately for the Microsoft circle though, Focus Home Interactive currently has no news on an Xbox One version of the game.

The statement wasn’t elaborated further so we have no idea if that means the game will be console exclusive to the PlayStation 4 or if the release will be timed-exclusive.

A trailer released alongside the announcement features in-game footage that shows off the pretty Unreal Engine 4 visuals. It would be a real bonus if the game looks exactly like such post-release. However, it won’t be surprising if the studio ultimately decides to tone it down a bit for the sake of performance.

In Space Hulk: Deathwing, players play as a Librarian of the Deathwing. In the video above, you can check out the main character, alongside a squad of Deathwing Terminators, going up against the Genestealers aboard a Space Hulk.

Space Hulk: Deathwing will release sometime in 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and PC. Earlier this year the developer hinted on support for a VR headset as well.
