FIFA Ultimate Team Fake Instagram Account Scamming People For Origin, Xbox Live and PSN

By   /   Jun 20, 2014

FIFA Ultimate Team since its launch in FIFA 12 has been a major target point for phishing attacks and scams as people deceive others into giving up their Xbox Live, PSN or Origin account details to get virtual trading cards.

Those who are unfamiliar with FIFA Ultimate Team must know that this is a mode in FIFA games that allows players to piece together their fantasy team by earning or purchasing packs of virtual trading cards.

Players can become very easy targets of this scam as there is very little way to know if the seller is legit or not considering many refer to themselves as official partner of EA, just like this fake account on Instagram.

With the newly released FIFA 14 Ultimate Team World Cup, now available for PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 and PC, EA has offered new updated versions of the players who will perform well in the real-life world cup.

The above-mentioned Instagram account is claiming to be an official representative of EA and is posting World Cup-related URLs that ask people to enter their Origin, PSN or Xbox Live information so that they can import superstars into their teams.
