4J Studios has stated that PlayStation 4 edition of Minecraft will fully utilize DualShock 4’s touch pad for menu navigation, sharing and crafting.

Moreover, PlayStation 3 users, who have been busy creating their own awesome worlds in the game will be able to transfer their save files to PlayStation 4 and continue, right where they left off.

Minecraft PS4 version will include a world that is 36 times larger than the ones present on previous-gen consoles, however, it is not an infinite universe of PC, due to constraints of the console.

In addition to that, PS3 owners of the game will be able to upgrade to Minecraft PS4 with just a small amount of fee, but do note that this offer is only for the people who purchased the game digitally.

On the other hand, people who bought the disc version will have to wait a bit as developers are currently looking into the matter and will reveal more details in near future.

4J Studios also teased that there will be number of exclusive DLCs headed to PlayStation 4 owners of the game after its release.

Other additions in Minecraft PS4 version includes multiplayer that will support up to eight players online and up to four players will be able to play it with the help of split-screen feature.

Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One version will come with all of the modes that have made the game famous in the community, this August.
