Bloodborne E3 Gameplay Footage, Another Souls Game With a Slight Twist

By   /   Jun 12, 2014

Fans of From Software games had been waiting for a long time to hear more details regarding the mysterious Project Beast. Their patience was rewarded during Sony’s E3 Press Conference in the form of Bloodborne.

While the game’s reveal was exciting for fans, it was somewhat disappointing as well since it was just a cinematic trailer and there was no gameplay footage involved. Finally yesterday during one of their livestreams, Sony Computer Entertainment showcased gameplay footage from Bloodborne.

Since the stream is recorded from a camera the quality isn’t really that great and the camera is shaky but you can still clearly notice massive improvement in terms of visuals compared to other From Software games.

Personally to me the gameplay feels quite similar to Dark Souls games (probably a bit improved and fluid) which is sort of a disappointment but I’m sure fans of the franchise will welcome it and feel right at home.

The combat, climbing and even character movements feel just like they do in Souls games, as if the developers just splashed a coat of paint on those old games and named it Bloodborne.

This however, is just my opinion so if you are a fan of the franchise, please do not take it personally and check out the gameplay yourself. The streams are very short so let’s hope we get more and properly recorded gameplay footage soon.
