Forge Returning In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo 5 Beta to Start on Dec. 27
Fans of Master Chief and his adventures had been wondering whether the Forge mode from multiplayer will be making a return or not. Well, they can now rejoice since 343 Industries Franchise Development Director Frank O’Connor has confirmed that the customization option will be there in Halo: Master Chief Collection.
343 felt that the preservation of all the features in the games was their utmost priority which is why they have decided to retain the Forge mode. Forge allows players to add in-game assets to empty maps and design their own maps.
Players will also be able to modify the game properties of the maps and create new and exciting game modes.
The developers are also looking at the possibility of adding Fileshare capabilities to the game so players can share their screenshots, video clips and Forge creations with the Halo community.
While the game will have Forge support, players will not be able to move stuff they created over at Xbox 360 on to Xbox One.
The developers are also adding in a new playlist system through which players will be able to filter and sort out missions through some key features available in them. For example, there could be a separate playlist for Warthog missions which will contain all missions from Halo 1-4 where players can drive a Warthog.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming to Xbox One on 11th November and will include a beta for Halo 5: Guardians. This beta will begin on December 27th and continue for 3 weeks ending on January 22nd.
