Microsoft promised us certain features about a month ago, and now it seems like they are delivering on their promises.

The Xbox One June update and the update for the same month for Xbox 360 will be rolling out this week. The former comes packed with interesting features like external storage, ability to use real names and exciting new apps.

Director of Programming for Xbox Live, Larry Hryb, informally known as Major Nelson took to his website to detail some of the features. He also confirmed that the Xbox One June update will be available starting today and assured that the changes are directed towards both Xbox One and Xbox 360:

The month of June will usher in exciting changes for Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. The Xbox team has been hard at work on delivering the new capabilities we recently announced for fans, including highly anticipated Xbox One features like external storage, the ability to use your real name on Xbox Live, and improved SmartGlass integration. Both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 system updates will begin rolling out globally this week, giving fans more ways than ever to enjoy the best in gaming and entertainment with Xbox.

As promised, above 180 apps will be made available to everyone on Xbox. This includes HBO GO, Twitch, Hulu Plus and more. Hulu Plus will have a three month free trial in the US territory as well.

That is a pretty hefty list of changes, don’t you think? Let’s just hope that the Xbox One June update doesn’t hit the bumpy road too much.
