WildStar Errors, Crashes, Login, FPS Drop, Graphics and Performance Fixes

By   /   Jun 2, 2014

Apparently, WildStar is yet another MMO but like many other MMO games, it varies slightly from the traditional stuff so that players don’t get bored fast.

And since it’s an MMO that just got released officially, it is bound to be affected by what I like to call the launch syndrome.

The developer as expected, is working to fix the issues as fast as they can, but if you don’t want to wait that long or you think that problem can be at your end only, you can refer to the following workarounds to resolve these issues!

#1 WildStar 0XA02F0019: Patch Failed Error
If you are experiencing this error, you might be running a VPN.

In that case, try changing the region to UK to fix the issue. If you are not using any VPN and still getting this error, try changing the DNS server address (anything except Google’s DNS).

If you are not sure how to do that, add the following text into windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts file: wildstar.patcher.ncsoft.com.cdngc.net wildstar.patcher.ncsoft.com

#2 WildStar FPS Drop/Poor Performance Fix
Many users have reported that they are experiencing drop in FPS after some time into the game.

In order to fix this problem, make sure you are not running any addons like Bijiplates. Disable these addons will help in boosting the performance of the game on your machine.

#3 WildStar Right Click Mouse Fix
If you are having weird response while holding down right click close to your character, it’s because of loot windows box. In order to fix it, when the window pops up telling you about the loot, left click it to move it to the sideways.

#4 WildStar – No Valid WildStar Account Found on the Datacenter
Although many users have reported this error which is not letting them log in, there is no proper fix for it. According to NCSOFT, it may take up to three hours for your account to get entered in the database depending on the number of queries being sent in.

In the meanwhile, make sure that you have activated serial key from your account management page.

If you haven’t yet, try running the game as administrator as it solved the issue for some users. If nothing works, opening an official ticket for the support can be your last resort.

#5 WildStar – No Realms Available/Network Error
If you are receiving this error, make sure that you check the service status for the servers. This error usually is related to maintenance downtime.

#6 WildStar – Instruction at 0X401BEDCE Referenced Memory at 0X0000000
The error can pop up if the game is being run on Directx 10/11. As a workaround, you can use the this short guide.

#7 WildStar – Access Violation Writing Location 0x00000000 Error
The developer is aware of this issue and is trying to fix it. In the meanwhile, users have been asked to update their video drivers to the latest as it has helped some to resolve the issue.

#8 WildStar – Game Crashes at 4GB RAM
Although a 4GB RAM fulfills the criteria for minimum requirements, many users are still experiencing crashes related to insufficient memory.

Developer has taken notice of the problem so it might get fixed in the upcoming update.

#9 WildStar – Could not find a Direct3D Device Error
This error could occur due to two reasons: Your hardware isn’t meeting the minimum requirements for the game or you have outdated drivers for your GPU. It could also happen due to a corrupt directx installation.

If your hardware is good, make sure your drivers are up to date and you have re-installed DirectX properly.

#10 WildStar – Nvidia Optimus Not Being Utilized
There has been some reports about Nvidia Optimus not selecting the optimum video settings for the game. Until the issue gets resolved officially, you can manually choose the “High Performance Adapter” from the Nvidia control panel.

#11 WildStar – Performance Tweaks and Fixes
To improve the performance of the game, you can read our Tweaks Guide.

#12 WildStar Login Errors
You may encounter different numbered errors while trying to log into WildStar. Each error number represents the specific issue. You can check out the list here.

If nothing helps to resolve your specific issue, you can open a ticket for official ticket support by telling the error number so that they can look into the matter further.

If you come across any other issues, comment and we will help you out!
