Forza Horizon 2 Announced, But It’s Not Based in Bayous of Louisiana
OOn multiple occasions, Fozza Horizon 2 was discussed, rumored and speculated for by different sources in the past months. It was pretty evident that the game is going to come out sooner or later. However, it seems to be coming out sooner, rather than later.
The latest installment in the series has been announced officially.
The developer of the original title, Playground Games is going to be in charge of the project but surprisingly, Turn 10 Studios is also collaborating in the endeavor. The latter is the developing studio behind Forza Motorsport 5.
The comment that Forza Horizon 2 creative director Ralph Fulton gave to IGN upon the announcement of the title highlights their ambitions and motives behind the collaboration:
[Turn 10 and Playground] share this belief that we can create a true home for racing fans on Xbox One.
Previously, a post on the Facebook page of Ultima Sports Limited had ignited the rumors regarding Horizon 2 when they said that they were working in collaboration with Microsoft for another game after Forza 5.
Coming to the elements of the game, we have been told that the Drivatar system of Forza 5 is going to be adopted. Moreover, there will be a new weather system debuting in the title. Furthermore, Lamborghini Huracan 2015 will be at the helm of hundreds of other cars.
Shattering some of the commonplace rumors, the game is going to be set in Southern Europe instead of Louisiana. Fulton believes that the areas have been selected for their diversity and scenic beauty.
Of course, music will play a major role in Forza Horizon 2 and there will be a music festival that the game will be central to the game’s events.
