Gazillion released a teaser trailer for their free-to-play MMO Action-RPG Marvel Heroes announcing the release date of its next big update.
If you aren’t aware yet, Marvel Heroes is a top-down MMO Action-RPG, similar to Diablo 2, featuring over 100 heroes and well known Locations from the Marvel universe.
The relaunch is more of an Upgrade which will include many improvements, new game modes, new content and several new heroes. The upgrade launches on June 4th on Windows with the Mac version going into its Beta Phase on the same day.
According to CEO of Gazillion David Brevik, who is known for his work on the cult-hit Diablo and Diablo 2, the revised title of the game points at the team’s commitment to providing improvements and new content to their game.
The new content includes new end-game raids, an alternate advancement system, secure trading and new Story based content/events.
New heroes include Taskmaster the mercenary with photographic memory with abilities similar to Captain America, Hawkeye, Spiderman and several others, Susan Storm of the Fantastic Four and Psylocke from X-Men.
Gazillion being part of Marvel’s editorial meetings means the game will include events from the Comic books and they already have Brian Michael Bendis, who has written several major Marvel Comics, as the game’s lead writer.
