Online store GOG.com has added SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition to its already sizable roster, so you can forget about the fact there’s been another SimCity release at some point. This may very well be the last iteration people liked, like, really genuinely enjoyed.
GOG knows this is a classic and favored title, but it also knows that it’s been around since 2003, hence their moniker of Good Old Games. Therefore, you can redeem your shot of not owning this copy of SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition for $4.99 in the first 72 hours the game is available on the store.
After this short period, the game will revert to a full price of $19.99. Right now, it’s even cheaper than buying SimCIty 2000 on GOG, which is probably the second best iteration ever created.
Even its trailer doesn’t resort to using Workaholics to promote its product. It’s all about good, solid city building and management.
SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition comes with the SimCuty 4 Rush Hour expansion. You’ll also receive a neat wallpaper, if that’s your thing.
It really has anything your heart could desire. From just a few tiny houses to building entire industrial complexes right next to huge parks, playgrounds and stadiums; the world is yours to create.
When you’re feeling particularly fickle, you can also kill your creations with a range of overpowering events, like a volcano or an alien invasion. That’s half the fun in these city builders.
SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition requires 1.1Gb of download space. That’s actually rather slender for such a complete package.
