Mario Kart 8 is set to launch tomorrow exclusively for Wii U and just before that Nintendo has announced its partnership with Mercedes that will allow the publisher to bring a brand new car to the game for free.
The new car, Mercedes GLA will arrive in Japan as a DLC this summer, while the other regions will get it later.
A Spokesperson of Nintendo UK told Eurogamer:
The announcement this time was made by Mercedes-Benz Japan regarding their collaboration in Japan with NCL. As for the information relating to the distribution of the GLA kart for MK8 outside Japan, we will be able to announce in the near future.
The gameplay of upcoming Mario Kart 8 will feel quite similar to the players who have already played the previous games in the franchise.
You will be able to race with karts, bikes and ATVs. The mechanics of the hang-glider and underwater have been tweaked a little from the last game.
The brand-new feature of the game is the inclusion of anti-gravity segments, which will allow you to race on ceilings, side walls and other unusual places.
Moreover, Miiverse will be integrated into the game to give you the option of sharing your replay videos online.
The game modes featured in Mario Kart 8 are as follows:
- Grand Prix
- Time Trials
- VS. Race
- Mirror Mode
You will be able to play any of the aforementioned game modes by picking up your favorite characters from huge roster, including Mario, Luigi, Daisy, Yoshi, Wario, Donkey Kong and a lot more.
Mario Kart 8 launches in Japan Today, while the U.S. version will release tomorrow.
