According to a recent update on the game’s launcher, Blizzard Entertainment’s highly ambitious somewhat of a MOBA Heroes of the Storm might be getting a Founder’s Pack.
This recent trend of offering founder’s pack for alpha or beta access to upcoming titles is becoming quite popular these days among F2P MMOs and MOBAs so it comes as no surprise if Blizzard decides to go along the same for its upcoming free to play title.
The Founder’s Pack offers players the chance to get access to the game’s upcoming beta as well as access to an in-game wolf mount made of “solid gold.”
While a screenshot of the apparent Founder’s Pack is available online and is taken from the launcher itself, open the link leads to a 404 page on the European Battle.net store.
There is no official word from Blizzard regarding this news but if this does turn out to be true, this would be the second-time Blizzard asks players to pay for the beta version of one of their games.
Previously, Blizzard had introduced a WoW Annual Pass which included beta access to Mists of Pandaria, although this time around, it looks like the Founder’s Pack grants instant access instead of access at an unspecified future date.
So what are your thoughts about this? Would you be willing to pay for a few months of early access to a title which will end up being free to play?
