SCE has announced that its highly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886 has been delayed to early next year.
Sony’s Spokesperson said in the statement:
As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game. As such, you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015.
The game was first shown at last year’s E3 and gained a lot of attention due to its unique gameplay style. In the game, London has been overrun by monsters and rebels while few heroes have taken upon themselves to fight them for humanity’s survival.
The Order: 1886 was among the biggest games coming in 2014 exclusively to PS4 and this delay will certainly affect Sony’s fall schedule.
Delays are really annoying for both players and developers but it is only done because bringing an unfinished product to the market will only cause more grief.
Sony is already lagging behind Microsoft in terms of AAA exclusives and now the company has to deal with the delay of The Order: 1886, which was one of PS4’s most anticipated game of 2014.
Hopefully, Sony will come up with new titles for 2014 at upcoming E3.
